This is my very first blog
I am not one of those people who seem to understand technology intuitively. This will be a challenging course for me. I know it is very important to be good with technology to have access to the tools I will need to be the best teacher I can possibly be. So I am looking forward to everything I will learn in this course. It is all very new to me. I have never been part of a discussion board or published a blog before. Having to do these things is pushing me beyond the limits of where I've been comfortable. It is good for me to do this. I hope to meet many of you who are on this journey of becoming technologically literate. It will be good to know that I am not alone.

Hi Kristen! I created my first blog today as well and I agree some aspects of technology can be challenging. But that's with anything new. The more you use it the better you will become. With the rapid advancement of technology, we had better get used to it because it is definitely our future. It does have the tendency to push us beyond our comfort zone but in the end it will help us. Keep pushing; you're not alone!
ReplyDeleteI agree the more I use it, the more comfortable I will get. Thanks for your encouragement.
DeleteWhen I first starting using the technology of today I found it easier to compare it to something I already understood. For example a blog is much like an announcement board from the old traditional classroom setting but instead of paper its now on a computer screen. The same goes for many other aspects of online learning and the applications we use, its just a mater of finding that personal connection for your self. So examples are typewriter=Word, statistics and graphing paper=Excel, Blackboard=file folder and planner. This helped me and I hope it helps you as well.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments, Christopher. Those are good comparisons to keep in mind. Hope you enjoy this class and I wish you the best as you further your education.
DeleteLook at you…creating a blog…aren’t you something! This is my very first blog as well. Learning is so exciting! I hope to meet you, too.
